Our Vision: Achieving healthy communities free from alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse.

Our Mission Statement: Partners working collaboratively to prevent the misuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs by youth and adults in Warren County and to build healthy communities by increasing protective factors, reducing risk factors and sharing resources.

SAPC achieves its goals by providing resources for parents, youth and community members to stay informed about substance use and prevention strategies, along with sharing information on current drug trends that impact Warren County. One of SAPC’s goals is to drive cultural transformation and deliver sustainable solutions through providing empathy, education, leadership and connections.

The Root of the Problem

Why do teens experiment with alcohol, tobacco and other drugs? Often, they:

  • succumb to peer pressure
  • think it is exciting or risky
  • believe it makes them “cool” or mature
  • have family members with drug or alcohol problems
  • suffer from poor self-esteem or depression
  • have a history of trauma, exposure to violence and other drug abuse

As a community-based, volunteer organization, SAPC is working to achieve healthy communities free from the dangers of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
